Talk That Talk is the incredibly feverishly anticipated sixth studio album by the world renowned and iconic Barbadian pop princess Rihanna and is the follow up to her fifth studio album Loud which was released in 2010. The album is a brilliant eleven tracked production showcasing Rihanna's somewhat signature sound for which she blends pop with elements of dance reggae RandB hip hop and more to create her own distinctive and unique musical niche. The album is as raunchy and daring as her previous releases as she straddles the compatability of provocative and sexually charged lyrics when combined with her versatile and beautiful singing voice of which she shows off her vocal range and ability. Included on the album is the chart smashing lead single We Found Love featuring the talented Scottish record producer and DJ Calvin Harris who wrote the song which is a dance-beat fuelled catchy track guaranteed to make you want to dance and get stuck in your head for days. This is just a teaser to the the treasures found within this album which proves that Rihanna just keeps getting better and better with age. Yet another musical triumph for the young star. Oasis returned after a three year break in 2000 with their fourth studio album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants. Despite being their lowest selling album to date it became the 16th fastest selling album in chart history in the UK with first week sales of around 310 000 copies and was eventually certified double platinum. Standing on the Shoulder of Giants has a strong psychedelic thread running through the whole album and can be heard mostly on the track Gas Panic!. Other singles on the album include Go Let It Out Sunday Morning Call and Who Feels Love. Such as the standard of Oasis's previous albums this album's approach has been questioned by critics with many of them referring to the absences of two of the bands members during creation. But after all the controversy surrounding it it has since grown among music fans and has been a massive success. (Trevor Pratt)

In April 2010 they all came together again and decided to record a new album but in a slightly different way. Instead of recording in Stockholm astudio in north of Sweden (Bergsjo Halsningland) was booked. It was located very beautifully in a barn close to a lake. It was a totally newexperience the album was recorded live with all instruments including violin and mandolin playing together during the takes. The result isremarkable. We wanted to capture the true sound of the band says Sulo. The album kicks off with the folky mod song April fool and then theircelebration to Grimsby (UK) Greetings from Isaacs Hill the town on the humberside where the band always had their base while touring UK. It’s awarm close sound through the whole album. We’ve been listening a lot to The Kinks and the albums they made in the 70’s and I think this is ourmost honest album so far Sulo says. Other standout tracks is the beautiful Don’t turn me away the unexpected but very fitting cover of theSmiths single b-side Please please please Let me get what I want the pub hymn Last of the lovers and Absolutely No 1 where you almostcan hear the ghost of Ronnie Lane in the backing vocals. So here it is.
“Mylo Xyloto” is the fifth studio album by the world renowned British alternative pop/rock band Coldplay. This record is the follow up to their smash hit fourth album “Viva La Vida” which was released in 2008. “Mylo Xyloto” follows on in the distinctive and unique style that Coldplay has become known for and is a very up-tempo and energetic album that uses giant melodies to create very anthemic songs. These big sweeping melodies combine perfectly with lead singer Chris Martin's very unique vocals and intelligent lyrics. The album is a concept album whose songs follow a story which Chris Martin has described as being a love story with a happy ending. The album features the hit singles “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” “Paradise” and “Charlie Brown”. These lovely songs provide brilliant examples as to what fans can expect from this album which is pure and unadulterated Coldplay brilliance. (Cat Emerson)
